Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 Now With Less Fluid

First, if you were hoping that Hyundai's head-turning, swoopy designs would continue-after all, they have been hugely effective in getting Hyundais noticed in the last few years-you'll be disappointed.This is the second production Hyundai, Following the new Genesis luxury sedan, to wear the company's new Fuidic Sculpture 2.0 design languange, and now we can say with certaily that Fuidic Scultre 2.0 has a lot less "fluid". While we're told that there will be some changes to fascias front and rear for the American market, most of what you see here is what we'll get when the car makes its U.S. debut a few weeks from now at the 2014 New York auto show.

The face is handsome,if more mundane, arrangement of polygonal lights and grille shapes, with the de riguer strip of LED daytime running light lining the inner and upper edges. The bodysides provide some continuity from the 2014 Sonanta, including a chrome element joing the headlamps and the side windows, an arching fastback roofline, and a subtler (but still present) upward swoosh in the doors. A panorama roof option continues, while out back, the tall, square deck contains higher-set taillamps shaped like, well, they don't really have a shape.
