It's hard to peg an on-sale date at this point, but given how production-ready this prototype looks, figure on a debut either late this year or early next.The 2015 F-type R coupe cost an MSRP of $99,925, a $22,000 premium over the coupe v-6S. Applying the same math to the V-^ S droptop, the F-type R roadster's MSRP could reach $104K, some $11K more than the V-8 S roadster.

What It is : A 2015 Jaguar F-type R roadster undergoing testing in Germany, Although the test team has made a gallant effort, no amount of squigglu-patterned vinyl wrap can hide the large front air splitter that appears to be even bigger than that of the hottestcat in the current F-type lineup,The R coupe.

The same goes for the large lip affixed to the deployable rear wing-which appears to be fixed in the "up" position here-that extends all the way to the fenders. Could jaguar have affixed the outsized aero just to paly with us ? Absolutely.But look closer, and you'll see that this cat is waering carbon-ceramic brake rotors, which currently are only avaiable on F-type V-6s and R coupes
